Peek into Fajr fest film 'Cold Sigh'

New Iranian film 'Cold Sigh' is one of the titles screened on the second day of Fajr International Film Festival in Iran.

The flick directed by Nahid Azizi Seddiq is themed on hard revenge and was written by the first feature director.

It follows a father and his son who want to take revenge on each other with implicit references to the famous tragedy of Persian literature known as Rostam and Sohrab.  

The flick has a masculine tone but is shown through a feminine lens. 

The 41st edition of Fajr Film Festival screened the film at Mellat cineplex in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The prominent Iranian cinema event commemorates the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

The 2023 edition of the fest is underway in Iran and wraps up on February 11.
